My passion is creative communication for the greater good. I’ve been telling stories through writing and film for as long as I can remember. I have plenty of cute anecdotes from childhood to support this, but that’s not why you’re here.
You’re here because you’re looking for someone creative, who can make a little bit of magic with words and pixels, who can beat their own path but knows that at the end of the day, you get there together or not at all.
I graduated from Vassar College in 2010 with a BA in English and a focus in Creative Writing and participated in the Film Department’s intensive program. While at Vassar I worked in the media cloisters as a consultant, helping members of the community engage with creative software in an approachable and fulfilling way, helping them achieve success in their own objectives. If you can’t remember, or don’t know how daunting Photoshop or Final Cut are the first time you open them, just believe me when I say I saw just as many scared faces there than in teaching circus. While there I also led seminars and completed creative projects for the cloisters.
I opened Air Temple with not a lot of know-how, but a lot of faith in myself. Using only free social media for promotion, my tiny studio turned a profit in its first year of operation.
Air Temple has grown exponentially since, as a result of my communication skills, creativity, and ability—and confidence—to develop and polish new skills, and think outside the box when it comes to outreach. Air Temple now serves hundreds of students a year, regularly produces professional shows, and operates a second location. While I have handed off most management responsibilities, I continue to maintain the studio’s online and social media presence.
