I have spent over 5,000 hours teaching myriad circus arts to students of all levels and disciplines internationally and across the continental United States and Alaska. As a coach my mission is to build a sturdy foundation on great technique, with an understanding of theory so that my students can unlock their ability to innovate authentically, safely, and creatively.
My students have gone on to perform with the 7Fingers, AIDA Cruises, at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and multiple Vegas shows. They have completed professional training programs including the New England Center for Circus Arts’ ProTrack Program, and Aloft’s Professional Training Program.
I am the head of curriculum development at Air Temple Arts in New Haven, Connecticut, and have generated thoughtful, progressive curricula designed to develop strength, ease students through common plateaus, and foster an understanding of aerial theory for disciplines including aerial silks, static trapeze, corde lisse, and aerial straps.
In 2018 I developed an aerial fabric teacher training program based at Air Temple Arts which has guided dozens of coaches across New England on their journey towards being confident, safe, and inclusive ambassadors of aerial arts. The program has since expanded and now offers a lyra and trapeze teacher training program as well.
I am passionate about connecting with circus artists and communities across the country and am available for traveling workshops. Clients include the New England Center for Circus Arts (Brattleboro, VT), Aerial Theory Fitness (San Marcos, CA), and Coil Studio (Spokane, WA).
I originally completed Nimble Arts’ Fabric Teacher Training in 2011, and most recently completed straps teacher training with Aaron Koz in 2020.
